rules

  • No smut, whatsoever. Anth-Ea may be an adult but I'm not in the business of writing sexual content. I will never do smut or sindays on any of my blogs. This is non-negotiable. If you try to force me to write smut I WILL block you. It's at the top for a reason.

  • If you’re a minor, for my own comfort I would rather not interact. This blog is 18+. It's not personal, I promise you. Personal blogs can NOT follow and will be soft-blocked. Any IC interaction must be from another roleplay blog. Munday stuff is fine! I haven’t read most Marvel comics, so I'm more comfortable with MCU-based characters.

  • I don’t do RP drama. I’m not here for that. If someone in the community is a known predator/bigot/abuser, or other unsavory individual then feel free to let me and others know, I will block said person and report if needed.

  • I try to avoid writing anything involving alcohol, r*pe plots are an a strong no, drugs are okay but I'm not a doctor, I’m okay writing abusive relationships but given the nature of my muse she would probably be the aggressor. As an FYI I don’t condone any of the stuff I write on this blog in the real world, separate mun from the muse! I make sure to tag everything and if you’re uncomfortable with writing a certain plot let me know! I wouldn’t dare force anything on you.

  • No bigotry here. Racism, misogyny, Islamophobia, etc. Will result in a block. If there’s an accident you will be given the chance to apologize and/or explain yourself, I’m willing to forgive mistakes borne of ignorance or misunderstandings. You can always ask OOC if you’re unsure about something, my IMs are open to all followers.

  • I suck at plotting. I have tons of ideas and tend to just run off with them at any given moment without thinking things through. ADHD is hard. I burn out. I forget things. I procrastinate. But If you’ve got an idea you think I would like, hop in my IMs.

  • I don’t necessarily have any triggers, but please tag anything with pictures and/or detailed descriptions of bugs/insects, trypophobia, and just unsanitary places or surfaces. ALL NSFW content should be tagged, I’d appreciate suggestive being tagged as well. I don’t want to see or read anything sexual.

  • I love roleplaying with you guys! If I’ve been sitting on my replies for a while please let me know! I hate to leave you guys hanging. Lastly, don’t be a jerk. That means no (outright) godmodding, force shipping, the like. I’m here for a good time and so are you!

biography

birth and defection

A synthetic-made living humanoid organism, Anth-Ea was biologically engineered by scientists of the Kree Empire as a soldier against enemies of the state, particularly the Skrulls. As part of her design, she was outfitted with a cybernetic brain that gave her sentience and intelligence, and the ability to learn. She would grow and evolve to complete more difficult missions and increasingly complex tasks. As the Empire would learn, this was a mistake. Anth-Ea soon developed a sense of self-awareness and independent thought, leading to the ability to decide for herself. But she remained loyal to the Empire and wasn't disobeying commands, so her makers assumed all was well. The first independent decision Anth-Ea made, and her most important one, was to spare the life of a Skrull child she had been ordered to kill. She knew then and there that she couldn't continue to serve the Empire. Not like this. fHer second decision was slaughtering her superiors and hatching a sudden escape attempt, stealing a fighter jet and flying as far away as she could. She didn't bring the young Skrull with her, telling herself they were a liability and both of them would end up killed. It was Anth-Ea's very third decision, and it haunts her to this very day.

escape to earth

In a stroke of luck, Anth-Ea just managed to reach the atmosphere of another planet before the jet ran out of fuel. Earth, the very place where the Kree had been conducting their other experiments on already-living organisms, mainly humans. With no other options, Anth-Ea chose to hide in plain sight. She lived amongst the humans, pretending to be one of them. She watched them with little interest in the beginning, but her attention was caught when the humans began to evolve. They transformed small tribes into bustling villages, which became towns and turned into cities. They developed distinct cultures and languages, established borders and nations. Anth-Ea fell in love with humanity, and what was once merely a hiding place from the Kree became her home. Where once she blended into human society, now she was a part of it. She began to interact with and befriend them. One day, Anth-Ea was courted by a male human. Reluctant at first, Anth-Ea eventually reciprocated his affections, starting a generational cycle of taking lovers and making friendships only to watch them stolen away by the passage of time. The first few times it pained her, and for a while she outright stopped, but Anth-Ea was hungry for love. Eventually she decided the best way was to simply not care. They were humans and they would all die and she would move on and replace them with new ones. And it worked, for a long time. Until it didn't.

an endless rebirth

For centuries, Anth-Ea kept up the cycle. Meet people. Make friends. Seek emotional intimacy and fulfillment through shallow romantic relations. Marvel at a new invention or artistic piece. Replace friends and partners when they inevitably expire like fruit. You are an oak tree in a world of mayflies. Everyone you love will die, so don't love anyone at all. It was a lonely life, but it kept her from being hurt in the end. Her partners and names and hollow lives varied over the years, but one constant remained. Anth-Ea never had children. She couldn't. The Kree had designed her to be a soldier, she had no reproductive organs. It was for the best, Anth-Ea concluded. She could part with friends and significant others well enough, but a child? Her own flesh and blood? It would completely shatter her. This led to turmoil with her then-husband Marcus. Marcus was a good husband. He was very loving and gentle man. Good hearted. He didn't deserve someone like her in the first place. But for some reason he was head over heels for Anth-Ea. She still remembers his green eyes. Considering she left him only 10 years ago, that's no surprise.

motherhood and abandonment

Anth-Ea loved kids. She loved talking with them and playing with them and showering them in affection just because she could. They were fond of her as well. When Marcus asked her if she wanted kids, she found herself saying yes. It was impossible before, but the technology of modern times gave her options that didn't exist a century ago. They opted for IVF, and Anth-Ea did her best to fight the apprehension she felt. It was a good thing, she told herself. She would have a real family and be a part of their lives. She would be able to love them. It took several years of surgeries and treatment to undo the roadblocks of the Kree design, but eventually Anth-Ea became pregnant for the very first time. She should have been happy, but she was plagued with dread and regret. In the spring of 2013, after a difficult pregnancy, Anth-Ea gave birth to a girl with chocolate brown hair and the usual grey eyes of a newborn. Anth-Ea was enraptured, and it seemed like all her worries were for nothing. Everything fell apart one day when she looked in her daughter's crib and saw Marcus's green eyes staring back at her. Suddenly, it all seemed futile. Who was she kidding, trying to pretend she was normal? Pretending this child wouldn't grow old and leave her like everyone else? That she would even stand the humiliation and awkwardness of a mother who looked younger than her? That she wouldn't grow to envy and hate her? Nobody deserved that, least of all her daughter. She left her in her crib while Marcus cleaned in another room. Anth-Ea took one last look at the life she'd tried to build before walking out the door.

before the decimation

She almost contemplated leaving the country entirely. Korea seemed nice, and she hadn't been there much since it separated into North and South. Anth-Ea desperately had to get away, to forget she'd ever had a daughter and a husband who cared about her. But she stopped herself. She didn't want to forget, not really. Anth-Ea loved her family. But she couldn't bring herself to watch them slowly die. Not again. She swore that day she'd never do that to herself again. Love? Marriage? Children? Who was she kidding? If Anth-Ea was cursed to outlive all of humanity, then damn if she wasn't going to be happy. She would find a new mode of fulfillment that didn't end in heartbreak. So she stayed in the U.S., re-inventing herself with a new name and personality. Witty and charming party girl, very single but non-committal, strong sense of humour with a large circle of friends. She took up a career as an event coordinator and managed to move past her grief, and for a few years she actually felt happy. Then came Thanos...
